THE CHAIR (S1/Ep64) — I Know What it is to Think I'm Stupid

    Hello Beautiful People,

    I’m Your Host Dreme.

I’m a Black woman, an educator turned tech entrepreneur but still an educator. Building a platform called THE CHAIR is a Black and Brown centered tech platform dedicated to supporting people on their hair journey. You can design hairboards, connect to hair stylists, and share hair care tips all in one space for a more joyous and streamlined experience. I built THE CHAIR Podcast to highlight hair journeys. A reminder to keep creating magic. As people sit in THE CHAIR you will get more than just hair stories. You will be immersed into experiences surrounding education, entrepreneurship, and identity. I hope you enjoy listening to my stories and the stories of my guests as we sit in THE CHAIR.

THE CHAIR (S1/Ep64) — I Know What it is to Think I'm Stupid

Lisa and I met at a school we both worked at. She worked on the first floor and I on the third. Our first conversation was in the teacher break room of the third floor and that is where our friendship began. I have learned so much and continue to learn from her and I am excited to share space with Lisa as she sits in THE CHAIR. Enjoy!

    Her Bio:

    Lisa Graustein (she/her) M.Ed

Lisa is a Queer social justice teacher, facilitator, and artist. After 20 years as a middle and high school teacher and administrator, Lisa now trains teachers and works with non-profit leaders on how to interrupt and transform systemic oppression in schools and workplaces. She also works within her Quaker faith community across the US and Canada to end white supremacy and build support for reparations.

THE CHAIR (S1/Ep59) — Tina Does What She Wants

Raina and I met in middle school. She treated me like a little sister and watched over our class with grace and laughter. It has been a joy to reconnect and continuously cheer her on with all her endeavors. Come listen to Raina talk law and hair as she sits in THE CHAIR.

Throughout her career, Raina has successfully represented a wide range of clients—from emerging startups to established enterprises—helping them navigate complex trademark and intellectual property issues.

In addition to her legal practice, Raina is a dedicated advocate for education and the creative community. She serves on the Board for Mother Caroline Academy, where she works to support quality education initiatives and empower the next generation of creative leaders.
