    The Universal Language of Music with Asher Laub
    Join Asher and me in a delightful conversation about his journey as a professional violinist who breaks with traditional boundaries and forges new paths. Asher shares about his creative process, the power of improvisation, and his vision about music as a common language that can bridge differences and form new connections between people.

    Asher Laub's Bio:
    Asher began classical violin training at the tender age of 2 and had already performed with the Buffalo philharmonic by age 13.

    Asher’s expertise in trans-genre improvisation has led him to a career as a soloist in demand, performing at venues such as Madison Square Garden, Hammerstein Hall, Lincoln Center, the Jacob Javitz Center and across four continents. Asher has also been featured on PBS, and has made headlines on CNN, WABC, and NBC and many other major news sources.

    Asher is known for breakdancing across stages with his LED electric violin, in addition to performing as a DJ violinist, bringing his experience as a live performer and technical prowess as an audio editing and mixing guru to countless clubs and stages across the country.

    Nancy K. Napier, long time Boise State University professor of business, is an academic entrepreneur. She loves learning and blending knowledge across disciplines, she helped establish the first international standard business school in Vietnam, and has been instrumental in designing and implementing several innovative academic programs. Most recently, she's become a rank beginner at learning to write fiction and play tennis.

Kevin shares his personal journey into the world of game invention, gives tips for getting started if you have an idea for a tabletop game, and we talk about effective and persuasive communication too.

    Kevin Carroll's Bio

    Kevin Carroll is a professional speaker, trainer and facilitator. His passion is helping his clients think creatively and communicate persuasively. In other words, he teaches people how to be better problem solvers and how to get their message across clearly, concisely, and confidently. Top shelf clients such as Merrill Lynch, Unilever and Cisco Systems (to name just a few) have been tapping into Kevin’s expertise for many years. Repeat business is his hallmark.

    Kevin’s style is upbeat and engaging. His programs are interactive and real world. Not only do participants walk away with better skills, they walk away feeling better about themselves.

    Ashley joins us from Sydney, Australia to talk about writing, identity and travel. We explore her personal story of moving from Canada, being an outsider in a new culture and her family's Armenian history, which was the inspiration for her first book, My Name is Revenge: A novella and collected essays. Ashley loves the craft in the creation of story, and offers ideas for how to access inspiration and the state of creative flow. Her newest book, Dark Mode, is psychological thriller, and will be will be published by Ultimo Press in March 2023.

    Wendy Fedan is a full-time freelance illustrator/designer, living in Amherst, Ohio. She graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art where she also teaches Continuing Education courses for teens and adults.
    Wendy launched her own design for publishing biz in 2021 named Create-a-Way Design & Publishing to act as a book shepherd, helping other authors through the self-publishing process.
    She has 14 indie-published books under her belt so far, mostly picture books which she's also illustrated, but she also has her own novel series called Somewhere In-Between to explore her personal interest in the paranormal.
