  • There's an old proverb, borrowed from one of our holiest writings, that all geeks know well: "As sure as day follows night," it says, "sure as eggs is eggs, sure as every odd-numbered Star Trek movie is shit". Section 31 is technically "Star Trek 14," so we should have a winner. Unfortunately, it doesn't suit the pattern. That's possible because this direct-to-Paramount+ special never seems like a film. It's more analogous to the double TV episodes they used to put together for VHS distribution, albeit it falls well short of the greatest of them.
