  • Put Your Soul Between The Lines
    2022/07/19
I was drowning. A powerful undertow at Fire Island had me in its grip. Suddenly I was 50 feet from the shore and I didn't know how to swim. I believe I was brought back from certain death for a reason. I believe I was meant to live on purpose, to guide others to do the same, and tell their stories like I'm telling mine. Writing can be a way of telling the life you've lived, and about times when you didn't know how to swim through it. It can convey the way it made you who you are, how you survived. Writing can heal, create kindred community and give you new perspectives. It is a power tool that can change you as you change the world. In this episode of “Something Happened”, Dorothy Randal Gray, shares how she helps people use tools that already live inside the soul - a creative longing, a sense of clarity and purpose, a willing heart seeking avenues of expression. When you write and put that soul between the lines, you access a source of unlimited creativity, transformation and empowerment. You learn how to swim without going under.

  • The Journey of the Soul
    2022/06/28
Katye Anna’s life changed course 27 years ago while she was doing an internship at York House AIDS Hospice in Pennsylvania. She was always good at holding space for people as they were cycling off from this physical dimension. She witnessed firsthand how hard it was for the people who came there to die. She also witnessed the fear people had about what would happen to them, if anything, after they died. Many of the people who believed in heaven also believed in hell. While the hospice nurses gave great physical care, many of them believed that dead was dead. They would comfort the dying by telling them they were going to heaven, but when questioned, they could not say with certainty what would happen after death. It was during this time Katye Anna coined the phrase, “Birthing Into Spirit”. She believed physical death was a part of the journey of the soul. It was not an ending, but a beginning. In this episode, Katye Anna will talk on the topic: The Journey of the Soul. She has dedicated her life to helping people have conscious lives, so they can have a conscious death. As a teacher of soul, she helps her students and clients talk about life so when the time comes, they will be able to view physical death as stepping into a different part of the Journey of the Soul.
