🌟 The Twelve TWL 5 – Nathanael 🌟 Welcome back to Truth Worth Living, where we seek to understand God’s Word so we can live in God’s will. In our journey through the lives of the 12 apostles, today we’re focusing on Nathanael (also called Bartholomew). His story teaches us powerful lessons about truth, devotion, and transformation. When Nathanael first heard about Jesus, his response wasn’t exactly welcoming. When Philip told him, “We’ve found the Messiah—Jesus of Nazareth,” Nathanael’s immediate reaction was, “Nazareth? Can anything good come from there?” (John 1:46). Ouch. Nathanael’s words revealed a prejudice—a preconceived notion about who could possibly come from such an unremarkable town. Yet, despite his initial skepticism, Nathanael chose to come and see for himself. When Nathanael met Jesus, everything changed. Jesus said, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” (John 1:47). Jesus saw through Nathanael’s prejudice to his true character: someone who loved God and sought truth. Nathanael’s devotion to scripture and his desire for God’s presence under the fig tree revealed a heart longing for the Messiah. That encounter was enough to convince Nathanael. He declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel!” (John 1:49). What can we learn from Nathanael? 👉 Devotion to Truth – Nathanael valued truth above all else. When confronted with evidence, he set aside his prejudices and embraced Jesus. 👉 Spending Time with God – Nathanael sought peace and God’s presence under the fig tree, preparing his heart for the Messiah. 👉 Transformation Through Jesus – His initial skepticism gave way to unwavering faith that shaped the rest of his life. Nathanael reminds us that seeking truth and spending time with God opens the door to life-changing encounters with Jesus. Like him, we can declare with conviction: “Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life!” That’s a truth worth believing—and this is Truth Worth Living! ✨ If Nathanael’s story encouraged you, like and share this post to inspire others! Let’s spread the message of God’s transforming truth. ❤️ #TruthWorthLiving #TheTwelve #SeekAndBelieve #FaithInAction

Welcome back to Truth Worth Living, where we seek to understand God’s Word so we can live in God’s will! Today, we’re diving into the story of Philip, one of the twelve apostles. His journey with Jesus is a powerful reminder of how God uses each of us, just as we are, to accomplish His purposes. Philip was a process person—a facts-and-figures guy who needed all the details before making a decision. He wasn’t one to leap without knowing exactly where he’d land. Yet, when Jesus called him, Philip responded immediately, leaving behind his calculations and hesitations to follow the Messiah. But even as a disciple, Philip’s practical mindset sometimes held him back. Remember the feeding of the 5,000? When Jesus asked Philip how they’d feed the crowd, Philip’s response was all about the numbers: “It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” (John 6:7) Philip’s math said, “It’s impossible.” But Jesus was teaching him—and us—that faith changes the equation. Here’s what we can learn from Philip: 👉 God made us the way we are for a reason—whether we’re analytical like Philip or creative and spontaneous. 👉 Our strengths become even greater when we surrender them to God and trust Him with what we can’t control. 👉 Faith doesn’t ignore the facts—it counts the cost, but then trusts God to make a way. Philip’s story reminds us that even when the numbers don’t add up, God is faithful to provide and make the impossible possible. And when we add faith to our calculations, He can do incredible things through us! ✨ That’s truth worth trusting, and this is Truth Worth Living! ✨ 👉 If you were encouraged by Philip’s story, like and share this post to help spread the message! Let’s inspire others to trust God’s plan for their lives. 💬❤️ #TruthWorthLiving #TheTwelve #FaithInAction
