  • Under the Influence of Electronica (Delphina)
    2023/03/12

On today's podcast we talk about the role that electronic music has played in shaping The Fracture's sound and artists that we love who happen to fall into that elusive genre. Apparently, your not supposed to use the terms like Electronica or EDM but we lost our cool-kid cards a long time ago so we call it what ever we want. We also go deep into a song we covered by the artist known as Frameworks and how we got some of the sounds you'll hear in this track thanks to some very cool sound mangling pedals by Chase Bliss Audio and a little secret weapon buried inside my favorite DAW for those fellow Reason Studio users out there.

We encourage you to think of this podcast as sort of a companion to our music. Hopefully, it will not just help you to understand how we do it, but also offer a little more insight into WHY we do it. Check out Interstitial on Spotify  and let us know what you think.

  • The Genius Of Radiohead (I Might Be Wrong)
    2023/03/05

On this episode we get to unapologetically gush about one our of biggest influences and what lead us to even dare cover one of their songs. The undeniable scope of Radiohead's influence on modern music is almost so universally accepted that its maybe not worth even talking about. But... we have so much to say about it ...so we're going to do it anyway. Jordan and I talk about how seminal albums in the middle of the band's career came along at just the right time to serve as equal parts milestones of creative achievement and signposts of the times and cultural undercurrents that defined the dawn of the new millennium.

We encourage you to think of this podcast as sort of a companion to our music. Hopefully, it will help you to not just understand how we do it, but also offer a little more insight into WHY we do it. Check out Interstitial on Spotify  and let us know what you think.

  • Interstitial
    2023/02/18

Welcome back! Today Jordan and I are joined by James Lombardi to talk about the second record by The Fracture called Interstitial. It' all about the "in-between places" as we get into the inspirations that led us to the themes and concepts on this album. We also get heavy into what it means to tell a story without words. But speaking of words, we also have the honor of having James join us today and share his words about what Interstitial means to him. We get to work some insanely talented people in the extended Fracture family and in this episode you'll get a little better insight into what James brings to the table. How else can I say it... James is like our spirit animal. He is the voice of The Fracture.

We encourage you to think of this podcast as sort of a companion to our music. Hopefully, it will help you to not just understand how we do it, but also offer a little more insight into WHY we do it. Check out Interstitial on Spotify  and let us know what you think.

On episode 6 we talk about Theweekday which was our first single preceding the debut album. We get into why we chose this song as a single and why we choose to focus on making albums in a world dominated by singles. What's the best Radiohead album according to Jordan and J? We dig into how some of the weird sounds on the track were made and also give a huge shoutout to one of the most important members of The Fracture, our violin player Michael Kok.
