    Summer at Shiloh

    Part 4 Pastor Jason Creech

When times are tough, don’t give up in Chapter 32.

    1. He confronted the _________ and the __________. If you ignore a problem, it doesn’t go away.

(Exodus 32:21) Moses asked Aaron, “What did these people do to you that you encouraged them to commit such a serious sin?”

    2. He established a ______________. He __________! He created a place and a time each day where he cried out to the Lord (Exodus 33).

(Exodus 33:8-9) 8 And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent. 9 As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the LORD spoke with Moses.

    3. He didn’t ______. He went back up the mountain again. He _____________ on behalf of the people again. He received two more tablets again.

(Exodus 34:4) So Moses cut two more stone tablets like the first ones. Early the next morning he went up on Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, carrying the two stone tablets.

    1. Your yes __________ make a difference.

(James 5:17 AMPC) “Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.”

    2. You’re ________________________ to say yes.

(Psalm 34:18 NIV) “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

    3. You could _________________ your yes to God.

(2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV) (Jesus Said) “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

(2 Corinthians 12:9 AMPC) “But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me!”

(Judges 6:15 NIV) “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.”

(Judges 6:14 NIV) The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?”

“God is not looking for gold vessels or silver vessels. He is looking for willing vessels.”

    Kathryn Kuhlman

    4. Your Yes Allows ____________________________.

(Matthew 5:14-16 NIV) “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

    5. Your Yes Allows ____________________________.

(Ephesians 2:10 NIV) "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

    6. Your Yes Allows ____________________________.

(Galatians 5:1 NIV) “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

    7. Your Yes Allows ____________________________.

(John 17:3 NIV) “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”

Summer at Shiloh Part 2 Pastor David King

(Proverbs 17:24 GNT) An intelligent person aims at wise action, but a fool starts off in many directions.

    1. My __________ is lower.

(Luke 21:34 NIV) “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.

    2. My _____________ are inconsistent.

(Job 9:25 NLV) “My days go faster than a runner. They fly away, and see no good.

    3. My _________________ suffers.

(Proverbs 21:5 MSG) Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.

    4. My ______________ meaning.

(Psalms 39:6 NLT) We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will

    spend it.

    5. My __________________________ seems distant.

(Psalms 46:10 NIV) He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

The distance between the truth I _______ and the truth I __________ equals the pain I experience.

    What will I do?

(Hebrews 4:9-11 NIV) 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.

    1. I will _________ my body.

(Psalms 127:2) In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves.

    2. I will _____________ my soul:

    a. With _______________.

(Psalms 23:2-3) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

    b. With _______________.

(Proverbs 17:22) A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

    c. With ________________.

(Hebrews 10:25) not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

    3. I will _____________ my spirit.

(Psalms 92: 1-2, 10, 12, 14) 1 It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, 2 proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me. 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,
