このコンテンツについて
In this week's solo episode, I open up about the inappropriate and illegal relationship I found myself in when I was 16 years old. Even now, over ten years later, I'm still processing and healing from this experience, and today's episode is part of that journey. I recap everything for you and you'll hear how I wound up in a relationship with my high school strength coach.
I'm coming to terms with the shame and the guilt that I carry from this relationship, and this is my message to you: It is not your fault. If you've been in an abusive relationship, you did not deserve what your abuser put you through. Even if you welcomed the relationship at the time, that does not mean that the abuse was okay.
Recovering from abuse is confusing and uncomfortable, and if there is anyone else out there who knows what I'm talking about, I get it. I hope today's episode helps you feel less alone. Love you.
