In this week’s episode of “Pumpkins and Politics” with Chad George, Chad will be kicking off this “spooky” month with a countdown of the Top 5 of the World’s Most Infamous People. This week, we will continue with number four, H.H. Holmes.
We are continuing our weekly series of the “50 Most Influential people” segment, where Chad chooses one influential person from each state to talk about. This week, our influential person is from the State of Nebraska. Fred Astaire was born in Omaha, Nebraska. He was an American dance, actor, singer, choreographer, and television presenter. He is widely considered the greatest dancer in film history.
In this episode, we touch on some key points:
1. H.H. Holmes was born Herman Mudgett in Gilmanton, New Hamphire.
2. Holmes was an American swindler and confidence trickster who is widely considered the country’s first known serial killer
3. He confessed to 27 murders, though some researches have suggested that the real number exceeded 200.
4. Holmes sold his story to the Hearst Corporation for $10,000.
5. H.H. Holmes stole and disfigured cadavers.
