esus' encounter at the Pool of Bethesda reveals His heart for the broken and His purpose of offering relationship rather than rules. When Jesus healed a man disabled for 38 years on the Sabbath, He demonstrated that He seeks out those who cannot come to Him on their own. While religious leaders focused on rule-breaking, Jesus focused on transformation. This story teaches us to pursue Jesus relationally rather than through rule-keeping, to embrace our new life in Christ, and to intentionally pursue others with the same love Jesus shows us.
