KEN GORDON speaks on the responsibility of men during and after divorce, the power of a father's love for his children, and the importance of the engagement of a father. Ken is an advocate for men and an advocate for fathers.   Ken calls on men to lean into their responsibilities and proactively banish the narratives of a "dead beat dad". 

Ken also speaks to the power of positive relationships, whether they are familial, intimate, or spiritual.  

Pastor Ken, who is a Certified Chaplain, is the author of 4 award-winning books, "Divorced But Still Dad - Faith Principles of a Father's Responsibilities During and After Divorce"; "The Love of a Father - Faith Principles of the Power of a Father's Love"; "Bad Dogs - A Black Cadet in Dixie"; and "Pancake Dad", the first in a 12-book "Engaged Dads" children's series.

Making the leap from boyhood to manhood is the most important transition that your son will make. His happiness, self-confidence, and future marriage all depend on successfully navigating his teenage years. As fathers, we can either sit by as our sons stumble over their own mistakes, or we can lovingly share our experiences with them to help them build lives of purpose and meaning.​

For that reason, Steven's family has celebrated a special birthday weekend to welcome their thirteen-year-old boys into manhood. They have held these celebrations to make it clear to them the exact moment that they became a man so they didn’t have to go through their teens and twenties wondering when manhood would finally “kick in.”

They called this weekend their Rite of Passage.

Steven Arms experienced one of these Rite of Passage weekends when he turned thirteen, and now he wants to share it with other families as well.  He will give a firsthand account of his ROP weekend, explain the rituals behind the event, and give fathers the tools needed to organize a Rite of Passage for their own sons.

Author and TED speaker Nathaniel A. Turner, JD, MALS, is a self-described “Humanity Propulsion Engineer.” Nate is the author of several books, including the children’s book series, “The Amazing World of STEM,” and his history-making book, “Raising Supaman.”  

As a zealous advocate that every person has an opportunity to maximize their human potential, Nate regularly shares through books, courses, workshops, and conferences a backward design life process initially created to help his unborn child become a great global citizen and meet the rigorous educational requirements of the top colleges and universities without means of wealth, privilege, legacy status, fraud, bribery, cheating or Adobe Photoshop.   

Turner’s son not only met Harvard’s admission benchmarks (i.e., test scores in the top 1%, 33 college credits by his junior year, proficiency in four languages, left home after his junior year to play soccer in Brazil; and started a foundation to address teen homelessness); he eviscerated the profiled criterion by his sixteenth birthday. 

At present, Turner’s son is a third-year Electrical and Computer Engineering Ph.D. candidate at one of the world’s premier graduate engineering schools. Today, those tools, techniques, and strategies initially created to help his Gen Zer thrive in the Fourth Industrial Revolution are educational and life development staples for students and parents of all ages and organizations worldwide.
