Coming up on this special episode of the Mechanics of Transportation, we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the 2015 UCI Road World Championships that were held in Richmond, Virginia. The race became such a success that if you use Zwift for indoor training, Richmond is one of the most popular courses. It really put Richmond on the map.

A special event put on by local news outlet The Richmonder was held on Tuesday, August 19 at Vasen Brewing Company in Scott’s Addition to talk about how the event came together—which took a number of years to actually achieve.

If you're fan of UCI world championships, just know that Richmond hosted the likes of Peter Sagan, Anna Van der Breggan, and Taylor Phinney and Mark Cavendish–who got some special treatment from us.
