    Our perception colors everything, every emotion, memory, reaction, relationship, and belief. Perception provides us our sense of truth and reality. But what happens when our perceptions are dissimilar than those around us, even drastically different? How do we manage these differences or our reactions to the differences? How do we navigate disagreement in a respectful and compassionate way, even if there is no hope of a shared reality? We are excited to answer all of these questions and more!

  • EP96 - Are You Complacent in Your Relationship?

    Have you ever said to yourself, “If only my partner would ______, then I would _____?” Perhaps, this may include: if they helped more than you might too, or if they did a certain thing than you would be happier, or even if they changed then you might change too. This becomes a vicious cycle of complacency. Complacency, or the lack of effort or intention in a relationship, can be highly destructive to a partnerships. You both have a duty to give your partner your best effort, regardless of what your partner is doing or how long you have been together!

    Join us as we breakdown complacency in relationships, including why it is corrosive to relationship quality and how to shift from this state of inertia. As the years pass, we often put in less effort in our relationships, whether that is from comparison, resentment, greater outside responsibilities, less energy, or simply taking our partner and relationship for granted. Don’t let this become you and your partnership; we are here to help!

We address these considerations and many more in this episode!

We offer guidance in compassion, listening, and intentional consideration as you and your partner move through this journey.
