    Brian Doerksen’s songs (‘Come, Now Is The Time To Worship’ ‘Refiner’s Fire’ ‘Faithful One’) are sung in faith communities around the world. He has 3 JUNO album nominations (2008, 2019 & 2020) winning it for ‘Holy God’ (Contemporary Christian/Gospel Album of the year) in 2008. In 2014 at the Covenant Awards he received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from the Gospel Music Association of Canada. In December 2020, Brian, family and team broadcast the Christmas special ‘Christmas At Our House with Brian Doerksen & Friends’ which won a coveted LEO award in spring 2021 for excellence in TV & Film in British Columbia.

    In 2021 Brian’s released ‘Hymns For Life’, his take on timeless hymns which also features his father Harry Doerksen. In May 2023, he performed at the Coronation Prom at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.

    His latest singles include ‘Every Dream (God Who Sees)’ co-released with pop artist Marika Siewert (which ended up as the top Cancon song of 2023 at CHRI in Ottawa). Marika & Brian also released ‘In Search Of’ which is charting on Christian radio in Canada in spring 2024. His 6 adult children include 2 sons with special needs, and he lives with his wife of 39 years Joyce and their family in Abbotsford, B.C. Canada.

    Marika Siewert Biography

    Marika Siewert is an award-winning recording artist, songwriter, actor and director based in Vancouver BC. She has garnered numerous top 10 singles on radio charts on Pop, Hot AC, AC and Christian Contemporary Music stations, is a number 1 charted songwriter globally, and has published songs featured in televisions shows around the world.

    Currently her singles alongside Brian Doerksen “Every Dream (God Who Sees) written by Brian & Marika and “In Search Of” written by Marika, Adam Watts, Phil Wickham, and Gannin Arnold are playing across radio in Canada, with In Search of being 7 weeks on the Top 30 Chart. As an actor she has appeared on tv shows for Netflix, Hallmark, Bravo, The CW and Apple TV+. In 2020, Marika began directing and producing and she has developed national tv programs, music videos and scripted coaching programs.

    She won the 2021 Leo award for best direction in a comedy/variety/musical program and was nominated again in the same category at the 2022 Leo Awards for best direction as well as best music video. She was chosen to take part in a pilot program for the Directors Guild of Canada, and the Black Screen Office where she trained under Director Troy Scott to direct films and bring awareness for continued support and opportunity for black female filmmakers in Canada.

    She also recently returned from Nashville, TN where she worked on a new TV series project with the Monarch Media Team under director Alan Powell. (A Week Away – Netflix, The Road to Bethlehem, Unsung Hero). Marika has been the special guest artist on The “Come Now Is The Time To Worship Tour” in 2024 with dates in the USA, UK and Canada with Brian Doerksen.
