    Today, Larry goes one on onewith Monmouth Park’s Marketing Manager Brian Skirka who breaks down the $1 Million Haskell Stakes and the Grade ll United Nations Stakes. today He also discusses where Monmouth Park is located and what is the demographic of the track’s bettors He also makes some suggestions on how horse racing in general can attract the younger person and how he eventually ended up at Monmouth as Marketing Manager.; Hall of Fame Jockey, John Velazquez, who talks about if there is anything that he has,notaccomplished in his Hall of Fame career and also talks about his role with the Jockey’s Guild and the important role that the Guild plays in Thoroughbred racing. Johnny also talks about his mount in today’s Haskell at Monmouth and the two horses that he is riding tomorrow at Woodbine, in the two stakes races, the Plate Trial and the Woodbine Oaks.; Woodbine Jockey Ryan Munger, who discusses his riding career which has taken him all around the world. He also talks about why he decided to move to Woodbine in 2023 and what influence his Agent has had on his career. Ryan also discusses tomorrow’s Canadian Stakes at Woodbine and in particular the horse that he will be riding, the South African bred GIMME A NOTHER, a horse that he actually raced against when riding in South Africa.

    Today, Larry goes one on onewith Hall of Fame Jockey Victor Espinoza, who talks about why he is restarting his riding career at the Saratoga meet this Summer and could it be a permanent move for him. He also discusses how he felt riding a Triple Crown winner in American Pharoah and who was the toughest Jockey to ride against so far in his career,; Woodbine’s, Manager of Racing Content, Alanna Nolan , who discusses the
    ‘wrap’ of season two for the Woodbine produced ‘Free Rein’series. She also talks about a special segment that they are currently working on which will be released just prior to the King’s Plate. Alanna also mentions the demographic that Woodbine is trying to reach through ‘Free Rein’ and whether we will see a Season 3 in 2026.; The Meadowland’s Marketing Coordinator and TV Host Jessica Otten, who discusses tonight’s Meadowlands Pace and some of the other Stakes events later this evening. Jessica also discusses her roles working at the Meadowlands and talks about the planning in place for the Hambletonian, also at the New Jersey racetrack , which will be held on August 2nd and will include a major celebration for the 100thAnniversary for the Harness Race.

    Today, Larry goes one on onewith Jockey Dylan Davis, who talks about what it is like to be part of the family business, the Davis family who are all Jockeys. He also mentions the path he took to becoming a Jockey and what was the best advice his father, Robbie Davis gave him on becoming a full time rider. Dylan also discusses how impressed he was with the Woodbine Turf Course when he had an opportunity to ride some stakes events both last season and just recently; Gunnar Lindberg, who discusses his career as a Jockey and talks about how he felt when he won the Avelino Gomez Award last year , which was made extra special as Avelino had basically mentored him as a young Apprentice Jockey. He also mentions who in his opinion was the toughest Jockey to ride against in his career and discusses his time as a Racing Steward which he eventually morphed into after retiring from race riding.; We also replay the interviiew from last week’s show with Jim Lawson, Woodbine Entertainment’s Executive Chair , who discusses and expands on a press release that was sent out by Woodbine, the City of Toronto and the Ontario Government, recently , that will see a new Metrolinx GO Station built on 684 acresof Woodbine’s property and will anchor one of Canada’s most ambitious urban developments and eventually create new revenue streams to support horse racing.
