In this study, we finish chapter 3 by talking about our reward and inheritance we will receive. We open chapter 4 with Paul giving instruction to Masters, and then he admonishes us all to pray and give thanks. He mentions the mystery of Christ again, and then he tells us we need to walk in wisdom, redeeming the time. We discuss what this means for us today, and we come to some very convicting conclusions! In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question: Which brother do you think was the most spiritual, Moses or Aaron? I hear Moses proclaimed as the better of the 2 most of the time, but wasn’t Aaron the priest, and Moses was basically the commander of the Army?
We believe this study will encourage you and challenge you.

In this study, we cover a topic that has gone out of style long ago with people, but never with God. We look at what Paul taught concerning submission, and this includes wives, husbands, children, and even servants. There are so many things that we can learn and use to grow in grace with here, it is amazing. We finish up with the convicting portion where Paul tells us that whatever we do, we should do it heartily as unto the Lord. Do you do everything in this manner? in our Q&A segment, we were asked a good question: Recently, I heard a message about how the believers were called Christians first at Antioch, and I have been wondering: did those people call them that because they were just like Jesus, or because they were doing what He did?
If you’re looking for a blessing, we encourage you to listen to this study today!

In this study, we will be covering what it means to put on the bond of perfection, which is charity. We study through what it means for the peace of God to rule in our hearts, and at our need of being thankful. Paul told us to let the word of Christ to dwell in us, and then he spoke of how we need to admonish one another. We are to do this in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, so we discuss what this might include. We finish up in v. 17 where Paul said that whatever we do, we need to do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus. In our Q&A segment, we give an answer to a most interesting question: How does the dead bury the dead?
This powerful study presents us with much good that we need to do, so you don’t want to miss this, come study God’s Word with us today!

  • Ep. #349: Even as Christ, Col. 3:11-13
    2025/01/13

Today, we dig into how Paul declared that in Christ, there is neither Greek nor Jew, bond nor free. Since we have put off so many things by coming to Christ, Paul encourages us to put on better things. He gives us wonderful instruction for how to live, and how we are to treat one another. Despite putting on mercy, kindness, and many other things, he entreats us to put on charity above all these things.
In our Q&A segment, we were asked the following question: While listening to Mary did you Know, I began thinking about the Lord and Mary… when she got to Heaven, did she have a glad reunion with her Son, or a reunion with her Savior… or did she do both?
This is a glorious episode, one with which we are proud to offer to our listeners… give it a listen and let us know what you think!

  • Ep. #348: Putting on Christ Makes a Difference, Col. 3:6-10
    2025/01/06

    Send us a text

Today, we look into the description Paul gives of sinners living to their flesh, serving themselves. Because mankind lives this way, the wrath of God is imminent to come upon them. He points out that all of us lived that way at one time, but we have now put off many things. We had to put off the old man to put these things off. The only way we could put off the old man, is by putting on the Lord Jesus Christ. We have been renewed in the image of the One who created us! In our Q&A segment, we try to answer this question: Why do you reckon in Jam. 2, he links being swift to hear, and being slow to speak, with wrath and anger?
This is a moving study on the power of God that changes us when we come to Jesus… listen to it today!

  • Ep. #346: Look to Christ, Mortify ‘Self’, Col. 3:2-5
    2024/12/30

    Send us a text

Today, we embark on a journey through Colossians 3, and we look at several things. We are to set our affections on things above, not on things here on this earth. We are dead to the world, and our lives are hidden with Christ. Christ is our life, and we will appear with Him in glory. Because of all these things, we are to mortify the members of our bodies, which means to put to death. There are quite a few things Paul said we must put to death, and we take a little time discussing all of them. In our Q&A segment, we were asked this question: How did the Jews end up killing Jesus? It seems like they were so meticulous in keeping the Law.
If you want a blessing today, go ahead and listen to this study!
