Fast-forward to 2016, when Tony and his wife made the radical decision to leave their established life in New Jersey—selling their home, leaving their jobs and four children behind—to return to the Philippines. Armed with what he calls "the multiplication principle" from 2 Timothy 2:2, Tony began developing land and establishing what would become Calvary Chapel Tagaytay City. Seven years later, his ministry has trained over 5,000 church planters and helped establish nearly 300 churches, with Calvary Bible Institute serving as a strategic hub for reaching the "1040 window"—regions containing the world's most unreached people groups.

Weeks later, on January 31, 1979, he finally understood the Caribbean missionary's message clearly, recognized himself as "a sinner, a candidate of hell," and experienced genuine conversion that filled him with God's peace and joy. Yet his path to pastoral ministry took decades, requiring divine persistence to overcome his resistance until he surrendered fully, realizing "I will never be happy in life until I obey God."
