  • EP 79: Perfectly Imperfect: The Ryan Fox Way to Own Your SSWING
    2025/06/11

It was a thrilling weekend across the tours, full of grit, breakthroughs and standout play. On the PGA Tour, Ryan Fox outlasted the field in a four-hole playoff to win the RBC Canadian Open—proof that relentless effort can beat perfect technique. Jennifer Kupcho snapped a three-year drought with a birdie to win the LPGA’s ShopRite Classic at –15. Austin Smotherman claimed the Korn Ferry’s BMW Charity Pro-Am with a lights-out –25 finish, while Connor Syme finally broke through on the DP World Tour with a long-awaited win at the KLM Open. On the LIV stage, Joaquín Niemann fired a bogey-free 63 for his fourth win of the season, and Phil Mickelson delivered a vintage flop-shot birdie that reminded us all why Lefty is still magic.

This Week’s Improvement Pivot Point: Perfectly Imperfect.
Ryan Fox’s win is a reminder that swing aesthetics don’t matter nearly as much as understanding your capabilities, controlling your ball flight, and grinding it out under pressure. Scott breaks down Fox’s swing—why it works for him as a full-time player who’s learned to manage its nuances, but why it’s not one you’d want to replicate. The takeaway? Understand the root cause of your movement, and build a swing that works for you. That’s what it means to Own Your SSWING.

  • EP 78: Breakthroughs, Back-to-Backs & Ball Position Truths
    2025/06/03

It was a weekend of statement wins and milestone moments across the Tours. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler defended his title at the Memorial Tournament, becoming the first since Tiger Woods to go back-to-back at Muirfield Village. On the LPGA Tour, Sweden’s Maja Stark captured her first major at the U.S. Women’s Open, holding off World No. 1 Nelly Korda and Japan’s Rio Takeda. Trace Crowe earned his first Korn Ferry Tour win at the UNC Health Championship, while Germany’s Nicolai von Dellingshausen broke through with his maiden DP World Tour title in Austria—despite a blistering final-round 60 from Kristoffer Reitan.

    This Week’s Improvement Pivot Point:
Translating consistent short game mechanics and ball position from the sim to the course. It's the little things—like setup and alignment—that separate a solid chip from a frustrating miss.

Plus, Scott’s got his brother in town from Down Under, and we’re soaking up the good vibes that only family visits bring. Let’s ride that momentum into a week of sharp practice and smart swings.

  • EP 77: First-Time Winners & the Measured Path to Golf Improvement
    2025/05/28

What a weekend across the Tours! On the Korn Ferry Tour, Pontus Nyholm delivered a jaw-dropping finish at the Visit Knoxville Open, holing out for eagle in a playoff to claim his first title. Down in Mexico, LPGA rookie Chisato Iwai was unstoppable at the Riviera Maya Open, firing a 66 and cruising to a six-shot win—her first on Tour. In Belgium, Kristoffer Reitan staged a stunning comeback at the DP World Tour’s Soudal Open, carding a course-record 62 and sealing the victory with a clutch birdie in a playoff. And at the PGA Tour’s Charles Schwab Challenge, Ben Griffin held off the field at historic Colonial to earn his first Tour win, celebrating in style in a one-of-a-kind 1992 Schwab Defender 110. Nice prize. Four Tours, four first-time winners—momentum is everything.

At SSWING, that same spirit of momentum and breakthrough is what drives everything we do. In this episode, Scott breaks down how that mindset shows up in our club fitting process—a key piece of lasting, results-driven improvement. It’s not about hitting more balls or chasing trends. It’s about measurable progress—using data, math, and biomechanics to better understand your game and train with purpose.

At the core of our approach is a commitment to efficiency—working smarter, not harder. When you understand how your body moves, how your equipment responds, and how your swing connects to both, improvement isn’t a mystery—it becomes inevitable.

Own Your SSWING isn’t just a slogan. It’s the path.
