Artist Debra Tracey from Isle Be Creative tells us about her latest unique project, which aims to celebrate the achievements of adults aged 60 and over. 60 portraits will be created this year, to showcase a range of personalities, whether still here with us or from Manx history. The Isle of Man Family History Society has been going since 1979 and has more than 1000 members around the world. There is a Resource Centre in Douglas which is open twice a week, they also host monthly events, publish a quarterly journal and have a stand at Tynwald fair every year. Chair of the charity, Maggie Mulhern, tells us more about their work and about a new exhibition at the iMuseum next weekend (28th-30th March).

Hospice Half Marathon is happening this weekend in North of the Island, it’s a brand new event for both Ramsey and for Hospice. Christy caught up with event organisers Richard Fletcher and Ollie Lockley, gold medal winning athlete and Isle of Man Athletics Development Officer.

Culture Vannin have announced the return of their Scoill Souree - Manx Gaelic summer school for adults (16+), taking place Monday 21st – Friday 25th July to coincide with Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering festival. There are some spaces left on the improvers and and Intermediate courses – perfect if you have beggan gaelg and maybe need a confidence boost.
