    According to an United Nations food index report, an alarming 33% of all food produced winds up being lost or wasted, costing the global economy close to a trillion dollars each year. A doctoral scholar in the Indian Institute of Technology’s Department of Management Studies, Aakanksha Bhatia’s work is largely associated with food security concerns in developing economies, including food waste and food security index.
