In Matthew 5:6, Jesus promises satisfaction to those who hunger for righteousness - which encompasses right standing with God, right living before Him, and right action in the world. True spiritual maturity is marked by what we genuinely desire. When we pursue Christ wholeheartedly, we experience a satisfaction so complete that other temptations lose their appeal. Our spiritual cravings will lead us somewhere - the question is whether they'll lead us to temporary fulfillment or lasting satisfaction in Jesus.
