Yesterday afternoon was a time in the Chicago Bears' and Carolina Panthers' history that will never be forgotten. Chicago sent the first overall pick to Carolina for their ninth overall pick, the 61st overall selection, a 2024 first rounder, a 2025 second rounder, and wide receiver D.J. Moore.
The Bears seeked to get quantity in draft capital, and the Panthers seeked to move up all the way to the top in order to have their pick at the top QB's in this year's draft class, with no other team being able to snatch one from Carolina.
Both got what they wished for, but this all wouldn't have happened if some events from the 2022 regular season involving the two teams (and the Houston Texans) didn't come to fruition.
