We did it! We made it to 25 episodes and it's the season finale! What better way to end season one of the podcast with not only Nollywood, but Bollywood as well! That's what we have with this episode's film, "Namaste Wahala." A rom-com about a Nigerian woman and an Indian man falling in love with each other with supportive friends, but not-so supportive parents. This Romeo-and-Juliet type tale (minus the tragedies) combines the two cultures together into one of the first of its kind to cross-culture two of the biggest in the film industry. Filled with romance, drama, comedy and, of course, song and dance! However, despite the hype, does this film live up to its expectations?

Another heist movie?! Surprise, surprise! Interestingly, this is a remake of a movie that's based on a true story. Ahanna (or Snake) has his life turned upside down after the suspicious death of his father and he moves to Lagos as an adult where he reunites with childhood friends and they form a sophisticated crime gang called the Armadas. Things go well, until unfortunate circumstances hinder their plans and betrayal and murder ensue. What could possibly happened along the way with Ahanna forming the Armadas, eventually breaking up their Ohana (that means "family")?

Wow! Another heist movie, huh. I just can't seem to get enough of these type of movies, do I? In this 2019 heist comedy, Bem is a scammer who owes a ton of money to some gangsters and he and his buddies lay out an elaborate plan to get this large some of money buried underground in a house next to his love interest, Ivey? Will they be successful, or will they just fall on their asses along the way? Listen to the episode and hear my thoughts on the film.

This 2003 Nollywood classic is a fish-out-of-water tale about a village man who's down on his luck until he received news about the death of his wealthy brother Donatus and leaves Osuofia with all of his inheritance. He must travel from the villages of Nigeria to the huge city of London in order to receive his inheritance, but not without a few bumps along the way and a frustrated widow in Samantha. Will he be successful in his journey or will he drive everyone around him crazy. Find out and listen for yourself. 

The first movie reviewed on this podcast to be directed by a Nigerian-American, Nigerian Prince is a 2018 independent film about a Nigerian-American teenager sent to Nigeria by his mother so he can learn about who he is and where he comes from. Unhappy with his stay in the country, his cousin shows him the ropes of email scamming and he gets involved in order to buy his way back to the United States. What will happen to our protagonist getting mixed up in 419 schemes? Find out for yourself in this suspenseful crime thriller. 

Ladies, Gentlemen, Non-binary homies, IT'S THE 20TH EPISODE!!!! Today we gonna talk about the 2021 Netflix film "Swallow." Adapted from the novel of the same name, this takes place in 1980's Nigeria where two career women are fed up with being harassed by their perverted fat ugly boss at the bank they work at and one of them goes into the drug smuggling business. Will the main girl follow her friend down the same path? Listen and see.
