The New Orleans Saints could be tempted by Jaxson Dart and other quarterbacks in round one of the 2026 NFL Draft. But they shouldn't give to the temptation. Dart and Jalen Milroe are both receiving first-round rumors. And while both could be good value later in the draft, the Saint should focus their attention elsewhere in the opening rounds.

Landing another start cornerback like Michigan's Will Johnson could set the Saints' new defense up for quick success, while landing Omarion Hampton could keep them from reaching for a running back too early. Pass catchers and pass rushers like Jayden Higgins, Elijah Arroyo and Jared Ivey could have major impacts as the Saints rebuild their roster and pursue youth.
