The Fan Morning Show goes into its final hour of the week talking some hockey and baseball. Ben Ennis & Brent Gunning start again with the local Toronto NHL team that has a back-to-back this weekend starting in Buffalo tonight; the hosts debate if we could see Matt Murray take the crease for the ‘blue & white” and return to the NHL for the first time since April of 2023. B&B bring on hockey insider Frank Seravalli of Daily FaceOff for his theory and thoughts on the best way for the Leafs to proceed in this stretch of the schedule after having to put Anthony Stolarz on IR earlier this week. The trio then look around the League and dive into some of the moves made before the holiday hiatus and movement pause as well as what teams could be active once its lifted. The a.m. pair then turn their attention to the latest around Major League Baseball starting with Sammy Sosa issuing an apology acknowledging “mistakes” he made. Why now? Does anyone care? What recognition is he seeking? Hear what the two hosts think. B&B then bring on another friend of the show in Adnan Virk of MLB Network & NHL Network. The trio discuss everything from drones, to Monday Night Hockey in Edmonton, the MLB free agent market, Pete Alonso’s value on it, why Nolan Arenado would block a trade to the Astros and the current exchange rate.
