  • Am I The Bully: How To Tell If You Are The Problem.
    2025/01/22

This season we are focusing on bullying and today we want to dive into a difficult topic, but one that is healthy to think about. How can you tell if you are the bully or if you are engaging in poor behaviours?

Bullying at work is often obvious when it’s happening to us, but it’s not always easy to recognize when we might be the ones causing harm. And here’s the thing, most people don’t think they’re the bully!

Poor behaviour is often a result of cultures, that tolerate it. If you think your behavior is a result of the environment you’re in, advocate for change. Push for a culture of respect and accountability. Sometimes the best way to stop being a bully is to make sure the whole workplace moves away from toxic norms.

Remember, none of us are perfect. The goal isn’t to feel ashamed if you realize you’ve made mistakes. It’s to learn from them and do better moving forward.

In today's episode we will dive into all aspects of what is deemed as poor behaviour within the workplace and how that can have a direct impact on your colleagues.

  • Navigating Bullying and Anxiety: What To Do When Work Feels Unsafe
    2025/01/15

Welcome to today’s episode, where we’re diving into a really tough challenge, a Gen Z employee dealing with workplace bullying. This story stood out to us because it’s something so many people in this generation are facing right now.

In coaching we always spend time up front trying to get clear on what the goal is, and in today’s story the person is wanting to understand how she can cope with the anxiety of her situation. A 2015 study examining all the research on this confirms that bullying leads to anxiety and depression which is no surprise.

Bullying creates chronic stress, and that stress activates the body’s “fight-or-flight” response. Normally, this response is great for short-term threats, but when bullying happens repeatedly, it keeps the stress response turned on, and that’s when anxiety starts to take root.

In this episode we will share useful advice around how this person can protect herself from the situation.
