  • Episode 70: Lauren Burns - "Kidnapped, Rescued, & Redeemed" - Isaiah 49:14-16
    2025/01/28

Special guest, Lauren Burns, host of Redeemed Podcast, shares her story of being kidnapped by her father at age 7 and taken to Jordan. In 1993, NBC made a movie about her childhood called Desperate Rescue: The Cathy Mahone Story.

"But Zion said, 'The LORD has forsaken me and the LORD has forgotten me.' Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are continually before Me." Isaiah 49:14-16

Lauren's story so beautifully illustrates God's enormous love for us all that He gave everything to rescue us.

  • Episode 64: Road to Emmaus Series: "Check Your Source" - Isaiah 5
    2024/03/15

In Isaiah 5 we see that God's anger was not satisfied, and then in Isaiah 54 we see that He swore He would never be angry with His people again. The vineyard pictured in Isaiah 5 was producing terrible fruit, despite the fact that the Gardener took such special care of it. Today, we take a look at hints about the Messiah from Isaiah, who would come and bear good fruit and lead the people in righteousness. Jesus could have had Isaiah 5 in mind when He tells His disciples that He is the "True Vine" in John 15!
