The Minnesota Twins drop 2 of 3 to the Tampa Bay Rays at Steinbrenner Field. The Twins lose their first series since May 1st, and the guys discuss the lack of offensive production being the reason why the team dropped this series. Dan wants to know how many jersey changes Pablo Lopez did during his start, and also wants the Twins to add a Designated Hitter for Keirsey Jr. David wants to know if the offense will pickup with the return of Buxton and Wallner from the IL, and how much will it need to pickup if the pitching stays this dominant. Dan is curious if Royce Lewis weren't Royce Lewis and playing the way he currently plays if he would be sent down. The guys finish up by making their picks for the upcoming Mariners series. The Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals played three games that came down to the final inning, with the Twins taking the first two and the Royals taking the last. The heroes for the Twins included a more likely candidate in Ty France, and one that was less so (but perhaps shouldn't be so unlikely) in Kody Clemens. David and Dan discuss those heroics as well as the fine management of Rocco Baldelli, whose chess acumen David would love to test. Dan is again let down by the performance of Carson McCusker, who has yet to really show what he can do at the Big League level. They also look ahead to the Twins' longest road trip of the year. Despite all the rain, the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians managed to get a couple games in at Target Field this series, splitting the pair. And that seemed just fine, considering how battered the Twins' lineup is now. David and Dan discuss the impact weather had on this series while seriously questioning how Rocco Baldelli handled it, while they also saw the ending to Game 1 as the most Minnesota ending a baseball game could have. They assess how the team is holding together the lineup without Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton, and they look ahead to a big weekend of baseball in the AL Central.
