A quiet week in Lincoln got loud on Wednesday as legendary Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook announced his retirement after 25 seasons. On the football front, coach Matt Rhule is set on Saturday to answer questions from the media.

Nebraska football might not be done yet in padding its roster with additions from the transfer portal. On Tuesday, offensive lineman Rocco Spindler is expected to visit Lincoln. He was a multi-year starter at Notre Dame who entered the portal after the CFP championship game.
