    Mike Yastrzemski and the San Francisco Giants walk-off the Minnesota Twins in a wild 3-2 win at Oracle Park to close out the first half of the season. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, Mike Yastrzemski gave one a ride to triples alley that Manuel Margot dove for but couldn't get to, allowing Yastrzemski to get to third base on the play. Then, an errant throw in to third on the same play sailed into the San Francisco Giants dugout to allow Yastrzemski to score the winning run. After seven shutout innings from Blake Snell, Camilo Doval blew it in the ninth inning as he gave up two runs on a walk and two doubles in the frame before being pulled for Ryan Walker, who shut down the inning afterwards to setup the Yastrzemski walk-off.

    The San Francisco Giants fell to the Minnesota Twins 4-2 in the second game of their three-game set. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Patrick Bailey launched a 417 foot triple to the deepest part of Oracle Park, narrowly missing a home run on a ball that would have been a bomb in 29/30 MLB parks. The San Francisco Giants failed to get him home in the inning, and couldn't pull off the comeback in the ninth. Meanwhile, Sergio Romo, Santiago Casilla, Jeremy Affeldt, and Javier Lopez were all inducted into the San Francisco Giants Wall of Fame today to honor their contributions to the organization during their three World Series victories. The teams matchup one more time before the All-Star Break.

    The San Francisco Giants' last two series have been defined by disappointment, mostly because they won the first game only to lose the next two both times. Last night against the Minnesota Twins, the Giants won their sixth straight series opener, with the Giants able to secure series wins four times despite the two recent letdowns. Can the Giants buck the recent trend and win this series against a good Twins team? Or will the disappointment deepen with another tough series loss?The SF Giants' offense certainly can't be blamed for the fact that the team is three games under .500 with two games to go before the All-Star break. The Giants are nearly Top 10 in wRC+ (104), whereas they're in the bottom five or so in team ERA. The Giants' offense was on display last night, as they pushed across seven runs despite the Twins having one of their top arms on the mound.Another key to the victory, and indeed a key to the season right now, was Kyle Harrison. Harrison missed almost a month with an ankle sprain, and the Giants were left scrambling for arms as they only had two starters for a while, with Jordan Hicks, who seems to be running on fumes right now, one of them. Harrison's return to the rotation didn't go well in his first outing, as he was not sharp against the Guardians.
