This months DCK effect is Like Culture.
We talk through the evolution of the like button, the dawn of influencer culture and the pressures today to be a 'brand'. How have we coped in this new age where our self worth is quantified by the numbers on our social media account? Removing ourselves from these apps may benefit our self perception and wellbeing, but is that really an option? The world is now so reliant on social apps that it may not be possible to exit the influence. But can we be more responsible and humane in how we use them?
This episode we explore our feelings and experiences with like culture. It's ok to want to be liked, but don't judge your self worth on a number from strangers. Be your authentic self and have fun with it.
Join us on our quest to change our society by really thinking about the world around us.
