This is because Moses does not bring order to the chaos of Israel's newly found freedom. This story further teaches us what God began teaching in the creation account -- creation and order. God creates, then He orders. This is a Biblical rhythm to help us understand the seasons of life. God will bring seasons of "new life" and the chaos that goes with it...followed by a season of ordering. What season are you in?
