An absence of trust can cripple an organization, and the Christian church has certainly experienced eroding trust. Financial and sexual scandals have plagued Christianity in recent years. Spiritual manipulation and clergy abuses have left many skeptical, distrustful, or outright hostile to the Christian faith. 

    Where do we begin to rebuild trust? I looked to Gideon, whose story appears in Judges 6-8. God chooses to rebuild Gideon's trust in God's goodness. Perhaps, following the example of God, we should be willing to go the extra mile to rebuild trust. 

    A prayer for repentance and commitment to rebuilding trust comes around the 12:00 minute mark.
