He would spend his one year tour of duty riding in helicopters with the men of Company B, nicknamed "Pigiron", to find and fight an enemy hidden in the jungle.

    December 2nd, 1969. That was the day Dan was the most afraid he's ever been.

    Drafted into the U.S. Army and shipped to Vietnam, he found himself atop Hill 147 in the jungles of the Phước Long province. Soon, the jungles would erupt with the sound of war. And on that December day, Dan would experience stark terror.

    LFTJ is completely free. It is a podcast series about Dan's story of life not going the way he wanted it to go, and the lessons of faith he learned in the jungles of Vietnam. LFTJ is narrated by Dan Houmes, and his son John.
