Goran Štrbački grew up in Serbia in an unhealthy household with very little to eat, had a sick brother who was sent away, and even lived through bombings by NATO in 1999. After leaving home at 19, he joined the military. One night while thinking about his life, he felt distraught and decided to ask God if He exists. Patrick Sedivy came from a Catholic background, but had questions his faith could not answer. After being introduced to the Book of Mormon, he decided to read it in an effort to prove it wrong. Over time though, reading the Book of Mormon deepened his understanding of the Bible and helped him answer the questions he previously struggled with.

Jared grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but never truly thought about his testimony.
