  • Summer House Season 1 Episode 4 Recap: Frayed Jorts, Drunk Dials, and Intern Drama
    2025/06/20
Welcome to our Summer House Season 1 Episode 4 recap - where the pool’s warm, the cocktails are colder, and the drama is heating up faster than a Montauk bonfire. This week, Stephen brings big main character energy by leading a surprise water aerobics class, turning a lazy day into a splashy spectacle (unless you’re Everett who sulks poolside). Carl continues his reign as the house’s most charming red flag and Kyle is in peak form: drunk, rowdy, and living his best summer life. Love him or cringe at him, Kyle’s chaos is the heartbeat of this house. Click through for the full recap - because Montauk’s messiest houseguests are just getting started. We want to hear from you! Listen Now: Summer House Season 1 Episode 4 Recap About Summer House Season 1 Episode 4 Original Air Date: January 30, 2017Episode Title: “The Wrath of Wirkus” (Season 1, Episode 4) Episode Summary – Summer House Season 1, Episode 4: “Wrath of Wirkus” It’s another wild weekend in the Summer House, where late-night dance parties give way to even messier mornings. The episode kicks off with a 2 a.m. kitchen dance party - because what better way to bury your drama than with some post-fight booty shaking? But by 3 a.m., Kyle is calling Amanda (who he just broke up with), and somehow she shows up and ends up in the hot tub. The next day, Amanda’s still around, Ashley’s lecturing Kyle like it’s her full-time job, and Stephen - bored by the low vibes - leads an impromptu water aerobics class, much to Everett’s unimpressed military disapproval. Once the crew returns to the city, we get a glimpse of their weekday alter-egos: Christina is navigating unemployment while Lindsay plots her own PR empire. But their friendship crumbles over interns and nail salon shade, setting the tone for a full-on house feud. Back in the Hamptons the following weekend, Carl’s got more problems than just frayed jorts. Stephen spills the tea to Carl about Lauren knowing he went to a wedding with another date - except Stephen also conveniently plays both sides and pretends he didn’t warn Carl. When Lauren finally confronts Carl about the infamous photo, he smooth talks his way out with a line only Carl could deliver: “I can talk my way out of anything.” Eye roll. The crew rallies for a St. Bart’s-themed rager where Christina hopes to network, but the rest of the house is just there to party. Lindsay gets vulnerable on the phone with her Aunt Rhonda, giving us raw insight into her tough past and emotional walls. But the real fireworks come when Lindsay - sufficiently tipsy - confronts Christina, calling her a bad friend and accusing her of getting fired. Christina’s professional reputation hangs in the balance as the tension explodes on the car ride home. Let’s just say this summer is turning out to be one hot mess. • Summer House Season 1 Episode 3 Recap: Love, Lies, and Yard Games
    2025/06/13
Welcome to our Summer House Season 1 Episode 3 Recap - where the rosé is flowing, the lies are piling up, and Kyle is still clinging to his dream of a drama-free, hookup-heavy summer. This week, “perfect couple” Lindsay and Everett find themselves in Kyle’s crosshairs for ruining the house vibe with their constant bickering (and potential co-dependency). New roommate Jaclyn arrives with questionable Southern charm and a tendency to stir the pot. Meanwhile, Carl proves he’s got more red flags than a beach on a shark warning day when a lie threatens his situationship with Lauren. Buckle up - Montauk’s messiest summer is just getting started We want to hear from you! Got thoughts on this episode of Summer House? Listen Now: Summer House Season 1 Episode 3 Recap About Summer House Season 1 Episode 3 Original Air Date: January 23, 2017Episode Title: “Flirting with Disaster” (Season 1, Episode 3) Episode Summary – Summer House Season 1, Episode 3: “Flirting with Disaster” In Summer House Season 1 Episode 3, the drama ramps up faster than a wine bottle gets uncorked. The episode kicks off with a sneak peek of Kyle snacking like it’s his second job and a recount of the hot tub fight from the night before. Meanwhile, Everett and Lindsay continue their toxic foundation of “love,” marked by explosive fights and even more explosive makeup sex. Kyle, fed up with their soap opera drama, demands less fighting and more fun - but with Everett's intensity hitting 100 in record time, that seems like a long shot. Enter Jaclyn, Kyle's old flame, who quickly starts making waves as she flirts with Carl, much to the dismay of Lauren. As the group plays yard games and hangs in the pool, the tension is palpable - especially when Carl and Lindsay are caught in a “babe” moment that screams foreshadowing for future seasons. Kyle's late-night escapades take a turn for the awkward when Jaclyn rejects his advances, leaving him to call Amanda for a late-night booty call. The next day, the drama continues with Carl's lie about the wedding date, setting off a string of confrontations at dinner. Stephen is weirdly loyal to Carl's secret, while Lauren's about to blow her lid. It's safe to say the summer in Montauk is anything but relaxing. Lauren and Carl wake up in bed together, Ashley immediately sounds the alarm, and Kyle reminds everyone of the sacred house rule: absolutely no couples. The 4th of July pool party kicks off with mullet wigs, towering bottles of rosé, and a whole lot of passive aggression. Amanda arrives looking cool and casual, unaware that Kyle's been playing musical lips with visiting houseguest Katie. Meanwhile, Lindsay and Everett go from PDA to DEFCON 1 by night’s end. By the time everyone’s back in the city, Christina is stirring the pot, Ashley is still scolding Lauren, and Lindsay is contemplating her life choices over boxed wine and roommate drama. And just like that, it’s time to pack the bikinis and emotional baggage and head back to Montauk. Again.
