  • Shedding the Old for the New with Jesus
    2025/04/25

Today, on Karl and Crew, we wrapped up our Resurrection week by discussing the renewal we receive through Christ. When Christ died on the cross, He took our sins with Him, and now we have salvation through Him. We turned to Romans 6:6-7, which says that our old selves were crucified with Jesus on the cross, making us no longer slaves to sin. What have you left at the cross? We also had Rachel Faulkner Brown join us today. Rachel founded Never Alone Widows, the largest Christian widows' ministry, after tragically losing two husbands before she was 31 years old. She also hosts the “There is More Podcast” and co-wrote an eight-week Bible study, Father’s House. Rachel has authored several books, including “Widow’s Might: 365 Days of Strength for Grief and Loss– Find Comfort, Hope, and Healing.” You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.

  • Walk in Truth With the Lord
    2025/04/24

Today, on Karl and Crew, we discussed the importance of walking in truth with the Lord. The enemy will try to plant lies in our heads to discourage and keep us from knowing the truth that God has given us. One of those truths is that we are dead to sin and alive in Christ Jesus our Lord, which is spoken about in Romans 6:11. When we know the truth, we won’t believe the lies that the enemy and the world throw at us. What lies have you believed? We also had Ginna Cross as a special guest today. Ginna is the Co-Executive Director of Alliance Family Services, a Christian organization committed to serving women and families in the Kenosha and Racine area. The organization champions the sanctity of human life, sharing the Gospel, and trusting God to transform lives. Ginna and her husband, Steve, are passionate about rescuing the preborn and proclaiming the gospel. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.

  • Finding Our Identity in Christ
    2025/04/23

Today, on Karl and Crew, we continued Resurrection week by discussing identity in Christ. As followers of Christ, we need to have our identity in Him, or else we’ll try to find our identity in other things. We turned to Romans 6:8-10, where the apostle Paul tells us that when Christ died, we died with Him so that we can live with Him now. We have been given new life because of His sacrifice. Therefore, we should live for Him. We also had J. Warner Wallace talk about how he went from an atheist to a believer after investigating the supernatural existence of Jesus. J. is a Dateline featured cold-case homicide detective, a national speaker, podcast host, and a best-selling author. He also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview and as an adjunct professor of apologetics at Talbot School of Theology, Gateway Seminary, and Southern Evangelical Seminary. He has authored several books, including “CASE FILES: Murder and Meaning”. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.

  • Resurrection Power
    2025/04/21

Today on Karl and Crew, we kicked off the week with a breakdown of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and how His resurrection power happens in our lives today. As we choose to align ourselves more closely with Christ, we die to our flesh and are renewed in Him, which gives us new life in Him. This is affirmed in Romans 6:5, where it says we are united in Christ's death and resurrection. We also had an "Ask Pastor Karl" segment, where Karl addressed the greatest life hack: walking with Christ. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.

  • Christ-like Compassion
    2025/04/15

It’s Holy Week, and today, Karl and Crew discussed the impact of Christ-like compassion on others. Jesus was very compassionate to those around Him, and we saw this in Matthew 21:14-17 when He healed the blind and lame that came to the temple. As followers of Christ, we are to mirror Christ's actions in being compassionate towards others because that compassion could possibly be a blessing to them. We also had Dr. Alex McFarland join us to discuss the questions every Christian is asking or soon will be. Dr. McFarland is a Christian apologist, author, evangelist, religion and culture analyst, youth expert, and advocate for biblical truth. He also serves as the Director of Worldview for Charis Bible College and co-hosts the “Truth and Liberty” TV Broadcast. He has also authored several books and is a national contributing writer to various resources. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.

  • Cleanse your Temple
    2025/04/14

Today, on Karl and Crew, we started Holy Week by discussing how Christ cleansed the temple with Dr. Jim Coakley. Dr. Coakley is a professor at Moody Bible Institute in the Bible and Theology Department and an elder at the church, 180 Chicago. He has also authored several books, including "14 Fresh Ways to Enjoy the Bible.” We also turned to Mark 11 to see Jesus’s actions when clearing the temple and applied it to how we should clear ourselves of distractions and unclean things. As we walk with the Lord, we can’t allow just anything to enter our temples or fill our spirits because it can negatively affect our walk with Him. We also discussed how Resurrection Day can be considered a “Holy Reset.” Then, Pastor Karl answered some listener questions. You can hear the highlights of today’s program on Karl and Crew Showcast.
