 Kalamista is a multilingual podcast where humans and AI co-create conversations exploring the roots and realities of human-generated extremism, conflict, and propaganda. Each episode blends expert insight with AI-powered analysis to challenge dominant narratives, foster cross-cultural understanding, and inspire critical reflection. This experimental podcast was developed as part of my PhD research into the potential and limitations of AI in self-directed deradicalization. All content has been created by a human producer using various generative AI tools for voice, text, and research support. Significant care has been taken to ensure that the content remains inclusive, accurate, and free from offensive connotations or political bias. This report undertakes a comprehensive academic analysis, drawing upon archaeological findings and early Islamic historiographical sources, to provide a nuanced understanding of the socio-political and economic dynamics that shaped these interactions. The objective is to challenge prevailing misconceptions, particularly concerning the nature and scale of violence against Jewish communities, and to contextualise major conflicts within the broader historical practices of the 7th-century Near East.
