    If you're an adult who has lived with ADHD without knowing it, the chances are that our Capitalist "virtues" have really made you feel like a failure. More than just being distracted at work or having to manage tasks more eloquently than neurotypicals, ADHD touches every aspect of our lives. When the world that we see on our screens is whitewashed by the stoicism of the capitalist ideal of perfection, our homes are "lived in" and often chaotic. ADHD is a biological and genetic trait that has us seeing and experiencing the world differently; this week, we share tips on getting over this shame, and our own experiences with it.

  • Introduction to Neurodivergence for the Newly Diagnosed

    Boomers didn't want us to have evaluations for possible "shortcomings" like ADHD and Autism, so we've had to do it ourselves. Learning that you have a different and divergent neurotype late in life comes with a complex series of challenges, the first of which is understanding the condition. While ADHD and Autism have been stereotyped as pathologies that come about through environmental circumstances and make life terrible, they are simply different ways of thinking and processing experiences. Once we learn what these neurotypes are really about, we can more fully embrace who we are.
