When a responsible, caring, much loved mother, sister, daughter, friend does not show up after a "camping" trip with a co-worker to pick up her only beloved daughter Patti's sister knows something is very, very wrong.

Patricia Adkins was a motivated, ambitious single mother who had a supportive family to help out with child care occasionally and a house full of pets she treated better than most people treat their human family. She rose through the ranks at Honda of America in Central Ohio to become a shift supervisor and treated everyone like a mother hen. Patti didn't have much time for romance, raising her daughter, working hard, etc. When she found an emotional connection with a co-worker that became something more she had no idea it would change or end her life. Jennifer Kesse was a beautiful, brilliant recent graduate from university who was beloved and climbing the ladder of her first job out of school. She had managed to be so valuable that the worldwide company created a new position for her so the whole company could benefit from her acumen. Not a lot of early 20 somethings can afford to buy their own home. But hard work and some help from her very close family helped her get a condo on her own.

If anyone was prepared for a violent attack or assault of any kind it was. Jennifer. Before they started their family her parents had been the victims of a in home invasion. They prepared Jennifer and her younger brother on what to do during any sort of assault by having them take different kinds of self-defense training.

No one could have imagined Jennifer would be leaving for work one day and never be seen again.

When a family from Pittsburgh, PA moves across the country for an employment opportunity in 1982 the last thing they worried about was their daughter Karen fitting in. Pittsburgh was a world away from Palo Alto, CA but 15 year oldl Karen was a spitifire. She was athletic and creative, made new friends easily and even had a high school crush on a boy named Michael who was crushing back on her. She had learned the bus system to get the ten miles to Michael's house in Sunnyvale since neither were old enough to drive. They had plans on September 3, 1982 to have some food, play video games and get to know each other better. Around midnight, Michael walked her to the bustop and ran home to not miss his own curfew.

The following morning a delivery driver found a scene no one should ever have to see. Karen had been sexually assaulted and mutilated.

Decades went by with no closure until 2022 when Gary Ramirez was tied to Karen's murder and denied knowing anything. He was arrested then and convicted just a few weeks ago. Hear Karen's story here.

A retired chemist, from a family that had immigrated to the US from Lebanon, she and her older sister shared a home and the LTD convertible as well as a sisterly friendship that was a beautiful bond. Aggie was a nightowl and would volunteer at the church that her family had belonged to for decades, Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Main Street in Covington. on July 2, 1992. 69 year old Aggie Albert went to Sacred Heart with her keys and spent some time cleaning up after a church event. She was excited to participate in the upcoming Fourth of July parade which she always did, decorating her bike to show her pride in her town. When her sister realized she had not returned home from her trip to the church at 9:30PM the night before she was on her way to Sacred Heart when she was stopped by a policeman blocking the street where crime scene tape was strung up to prevent gawkers from seeing Aggie who had been sexually assaulted and strangled to death.

Albert was killed on July 3, 1993 in the City of Covington, VA.

The case is a forcible rape/ homicide.
