The Good Samaritan
What does it mean to love your neighbor as yourself?In our tight-knit community, we understand the beauty of lending a hand—whether it’s helping a neighbor clear snow or sharing a meal during harvest season.
Yet, Jesus’ teaching in Luke 10:25-37, the parable of the Good Samaritan, stretches our understanding of neighborly love far beyond what’s comfortable or familiar.
This passage confronts our human tendency to prioritize self, challenging us to embrace a love that mirrors God’s heart—radical, selfless, and boundary-breaking.
Today, we’ll unpack this parable verse by verse, discovering who our neighbor is, what love demands, and how we’re called to live it out in our daily lives.
