  • Joshua Jones, Program Director for the USA Health University Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program in Mobile, joins us in studio. Through a partnership with the University Hospital and MCHD, the City of Mobile has established the area's first Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Program (HVIP). Modeled after successful HVIPs in other parts of the country, this new initiative will help combat cycles of violent crime and retaliation by engaging crime victims as they are being treated in the hospital and connecting victims and their families to long-term services and support.
