Welcome to our first "sprint" episode!

Whats is a sprint episode you ask? One of us does not know the topic prior to recording and we barely touch it post-record. Also, Brandt is annoying. Ok, that's a bit much... the sounds Brandt makes are sometimes really annoying and drive me crazy. The chewing, the knife and fork on the plate, the crunching of chips, etc. are just too much sometimes, especially when we are recording a podcast.

Welcome to the world of misophonia - the strong negative emotional and physical reaction to sounds made by others. In this episode, we experience in real time the thrills of misophonia. I hope you enjoy it as much as I didn't!

We all want to feel heard. When it happens it feels good, solves problems, and productivity increases. However, when we don't, we feel angry, walk away, or even riot. In this episode, we dive into a 2023 study about feeling heard, the different components, and how do we use this information to get better at it.
