How do you read tarot for yourself?

Memorizing versus intuitive reading, books to expand your ideas on tarot, pulling a card a day, and tarot spreads are all talked about this episode.

If you’re interested in a spread that I created, you can get my 2025 5-card Tarot Spread pdf by signing up for my newsletter here.

    • Some of my favorite folks to follow for inspiration:

      • Kathryn Solie of Persephone’s Path https://www.patreon.com/c/kathrynsolie/posts
      • Gabriela Herstik who actually made The Goddess of Love tarot deck that I use a lot, https://www.patreon.com/c/gabyherstik/posts
      • Jackie Globb of Shamelessy Sexy Jackie, https://www.youtube.com/@shamelesslysexyjackie/videos. She does mostly astrology but utilizes tarot in her collective astrology readings as well.
      • Marcella Kroll is an amazing reader and mostly does paid stuff but you can see some of their collective readings on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/marcellakroll
      • Madame Adam does a lot of tarot reading live. It is also paid but you can get a feel for how they read tarot and learn about the cards this way as well, https://www.madamadam.com/live-schedule

Today I pulled a card from The Goddess of Love Tarot Deck: A Book and Deck for Embodying The Erotic Divine Feminine. This deck was created by Gabriela Herstik and illustrated by Julia Popescu, who also goes by snakesfor hair.

Check out the episode notes and images of the card I pulled today on my website.

  • First Deck Story
    2025/01/02

Settle in for the story of how I found my first Tarot Deck… or perhaps more accurately how my first deck found me.

My first deck was the Sasuraibito Tarot deck by Stasia Burrington. It is formatted like a traditional Rider-Waite Smith deck but has a bit of a goth, Pacific Northwest vibe to it.

The artist actually has a lovely website where they go through their general idea for the deck, the themes, and a description of each card they created and who they imagined in each image.

Today I pulled The Star Reversed from The Sasuraibito Tarot deck, you can check out the image here.
