She thought she was helping a friend.
Instead, it was a setup—and she never came home.
In this episode of Fugitive Files, we unravel the tragic case of Alejandro Rosales Castillo, a young man accused of luring his ex-girlfriend, Truc Quan “Sandy” Ly Le, to her death over a debt he didn’t want to repay.
According to the FBI and court documents, Castillo allegedly arranged to meet Sandy in Charlotte, North Carolina, under the pretense of repaying money he owed her. Instead, authorities say he forced her to withdraw funds—then murdered her, abandoned her body in a wooded area, and fled across the border with an accomplice.
Surveillance footage confirms Castillo crossed into Mexico shortly after the crime in August 2016. Since then, he has evaded capture, becoming one of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.
Castillo is considered armed and extremely dangerous, and a substantial reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
He is charged with:
First-degree murder
Unlawful flight to avoid prosecution
Robbery and kidnapping (in associated filings)
This is a case about trust, betrayal, and a young life lost in a senseless act of greed.
This is Fugitive Files. Let’s get into it.
