このコンテンツについて
In this episode of Nightclubs To Nightfeeds, we sit down with Dr. Sarah Orek, a reproductive psychiatrist, to talk about how today’s sociopolitical climate is affecting our mental health—especially for Latina moms and immigrant communities.
We get real about the emotional toll it takes to stay informed and engaged, while also trying to care for ourselves and our families. Dr. Orek shares helpful tips like setting limits around social media, finding trustworthy and diverse news sources, and using grounding techniques to manage anxiety.
We also talk about the importance of leaning on our communities, speaking honestly about what we’re feeling, and pushing back against the idea that this level of stress is just “normal.” Therapy, mutual support, and staying connected all come up as key ways to keep going—not just for ourselves, but for the people around us too.
This one’s about holding space for both action and rest, and remembering that we’re not alone in any of it.
