  • On Saving America, we take a close look at the intersection between business and politics. Our host, Dr. David D. Schein, is uniquely qualified in this area as a political non-fiction writer, an attorney and professor specializing in business and employment law, a human resources consultant and trainer, and a frequently quoted expert on both business and politics.

We keep tabs on the issues that matter to Americans – and how those issues impact us all. Check out our topics page to see what everyone is talking about.

To save America, we have to be able to recognize where we’re failing. Take a look at our Wall of Shame (and Acclaim), where we call-out people who are failing America – and give shout-outs to those saving it!

We may have a lot of problems in America, but we have a lot of problem solvers too! Take a look at our guests page to meet some of the people working hard to save the country!

    • It’s been the oddest political campaign in at least a century, and it just keeps getting odder. I for one will be very interested in seeing the outcome of the upcoming Trump/ Harris debate!
    • The new school year means, among other things, another wave of antisemitic anti-Israel protests and demonstrations on college campuses. Biden should immediately withdraw all federal funds allocated to any university that allows these racist displays!
    • America’s policy of pandering to Iran has been a complete disaster, and has brought the Middle East to the brink of war. Only this time, Iran will have nukes. We need strong leadership to keep Iran in line, and Biden & Harris have proven they aren’t up to the job.
    • Incidents of cyber-attacks on the U.S. power grid have been increasing, and experts are concerned that there may be concerted attacks intended to interfere with the presidential election later this year.
    • Although China and the Philippines have recently been in talks to reduce tension in the South China Sea, China has lashed out again, this time ramming a Philippines Coast Guard ship.
    • An appeals court has granted an emergency injunction, blocking Biden’s ridiculous Title IX expansion from taking effect in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
    • The 2nd largest diamond ever – and the largest in over a century – has just been unearthed by Canadian mining company Lucara in Botswana.
    • Author Joseph M. Lenard dropped by this week for a nice, upbeat chat about terrorism and religion, and what it means to be a ChristiTutionalist.
    • Between lying to the public about the border crisis and lying to Biden about their hours worked, Biden’s cabinet secretaries seem to have pretty contentious relationships with the truth for public officials.
    • When Elon Musk interviewed Donald Trump, they got a little carried away talking about firing union strikers. That doesn’t give the United Automobile Workers actual grounds for a lawsuit – but no one seems to have told them that!
    • My guest, Doug Lawrence, is an expert on mentorship. Get an overview of mentoring, and learn how it can help even high-level executives and people experiencing a mental health crisis, this week on Saving America!
    • Live Nation- Ticketmaster has been sued under the Sherman Antitrust Act, and stands accused of holding a near- monopoly in the live concert space. What does that mean – and what does it mean for seeing live shows?

  • Week In Review with Guests: Red O'Laughlin and Kevin McDonald
    2024/08/31

    Week in Review:

    • The recent arrests and newly revealed details about Matthew Perry’s death remind me a lot of the death of Michael Jackson in 2009. Anyone else getting déjà vu here?
    • Two unregistered Chinese agents have pled guilty to bribing an IRS agent to take away the non-profit status of performing group Shen Yun in yet another attempt by the CCP to persecute the religious group Falun Gong.
    • Consumer credit card debt has topped a staggering 1 trillion dollars. How are people still pretending the economy is fine under Biden and Harris?
    • I know you all will be SHOCKED when I tell you that the lowered prescription drug prices the Biden/Harris fans are shouting from the rooftops has significant hidden costs – first for the taxpayers in the form of subsidies, then eventually for the Medicare recipients themselves.
    • Taxpayers should not have to fund federal employees who are working on union business. Here’s a novel incentive package – work, or you get fired. End of discussion.
    • More major companies – including Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Wells Fargo – are making the clearly correct decision to move to Texas. Dallas is now second only to New York City in terms of financial sector jobs. Welcome to Y’all Street!
    • Retired naval captain turned author Red O’Laughlin stopped in to talk about the root cause of military recruitment shortfalls, as well as his extensive research and writings on health, wellness, and spirituality.
    • A high school in Indiana made headlines when they blocked flying an American flag as “offensive.”
    • The DNC was an obsessively covered waste of time and energy. The real story is that, when we briefly saw Harris come out of the basement with a policy position, it was all regurgitated Communist-era price controls and rent controls.
    • As the DNC rightfully fades away into obscurity, Trump needs to get on message and STAY on message. What message, you ask? Well, I just happen to have a few thoughts about what his talking points should be.
    • The recent surge in anti-Christian hate crimes is a worrying trend, and underscores that we must unite to stand against terrorism and hate.
    • My guest this week is Kevin McDonald, and while we meant to talk mostly about his podcast “Positive Talk Radio,” we really spent most of the time talking about chickens, psychic powers, and the power of positive thinking.
    • Artificial intelligence is taking center stage in music as the industry giants are suing AI song companies Suno and Udio, claiming their AI-generated songs are too similar to the originals used to train the software.

Week In Review with Guests: Stephanie Samsel and Bill Sunshine

    • Week in Review:
    • China is continuing to persecute Falun Gong practitioners both at home and abroad, including the New York classical dance company Shen Yu. The State department needs to step in and crack down!
    • As Harris hides from the press, her VP candidate is imploding. I wonder if he’ll be replaced like in 1972, when George McGovern’s VP candidate Thomas Eagleton was booted off the ticket. It seems like anything could happen at this point in #Election2024!
    • As Israel tenses for potential direct attack from Iran, Biden and Harris are scrambling for anything to prevent the PR nightmare such an attack will create for them.
    • Rob Malley, the Special Envoy for Iran, is all tangled up in congressional investigations into the Iranian spy ring that encompasses several of his aides and other top Biden/Harris officials. We need to be paying more attention to this frankly alarming story.
    • The Biden/ Harris administration struck a plea deal with the chief 9/11 conspirators – then quickly retracted it when public outcry started impacted their polling. How could anyone think Kamala Harris will keep the USA safe?
    • What is GARM, and how did it earn money suppressing conservative free speech?
    • Whistleblowers are reporting that the Biden/Harris administration weaponized the TSA’s Quiet Skies program to add former congresswoman (and former Democrat) Tulsi Gabbard to the Terrorist Watch List.
    • Kamala Harris has been sued by a pro-life journalist who claims she arranged a raid on his house to suppress his expose’ on Planned Parenthood – one of her donors.
    • The IRS is using its newly expanded workforce to target tipped workers and small businesses, despite the Biden-Harris administration’s insistence that they would be auditing the rich. And we’re supposed to believe Harris supports no tax on tips?
    • American ballerina Ksenia Karelina just got sentenced to 12 years for treason by a Russian kangaroo court for donating $51.80 to an organization that might support Ukraine’s troops. Why is she even still IN Russia after Biden’s much-applauded Russian prisoner swap?
    • Electric vehicle automakers are accelerating their release of upgraded models – which is bad news if it means your EV is going to lose its value even quicker.
    • The prison and legal systems are failing the women of this country by allowing biological males into exclusively female spaces, such as women’s prisons and sorority houses, under the guise of being transgender.
    • The narrative of DEI (diversity, equity, & inclusion) initiatives is that they safeguard minorities and protected groups from racist policies. But many within these groups experience the opposite under DEI. Stephanie Samsel is speaking up on this, this week on Saving America!
    • Forget climate change – this Cold War 2 with China is America’s existential threat. We must stop squabbling with each other, secure our borders, and build up our technological prowess now, before we literally cease to exist.
    • The abortion pill ruling was a bit of a surprise for the conservative-dominated Supreme Court. Given that it was a technical ruling, the future of mifepristone is far from settled - in spite of the likelihood that this particular case is now over.
    • The courts recently ruled in favor of Whole foods when they were accused of unfair labor practices for not letting employees wear BLM apparel to work.
    • Author Bill Sunshine dropped in to talk about growing up during the Cold War, the secret millionaires and divided political factions in Communist Russia, and how these come together to inform his new book “Paris Nights: Escape from Moscow.”
