In this week’s episode, Frankie is joined by fellow coach and client Tina Stonisch. Tina was an ICU nurse which she believes set her up perfectly to enter the coaching world because as a nurse she had to counsel families, often during the worst time of their lives. She eventually decided to get married and leave nursing to be a stay-at-home mom. Tina was going through a transition in her life and reached out to Frankie to help coach her through it. Tina found coaching has been helpful to her more than other methods and she is now a coach herself. She feels that coaching helps people create a new path for themselves. Tina went through some difficult times herself with her divorce from her unfaithful husband and then the death of her younger sister and best friend. What she came to realize was, during the difficult times, if you just keep going, it will get better. Tina explains it’s okay to feel however you feel in a session, sad, mad, angry, whatever you are feeling is valid. She goes on to say an hour of coaching is like working out, you are building a muscle “I feel like it is life changing” she told Frankie. Tina explains coaching “stops you from looking in the rear view mirror because “I am not going that way.” They both agree that the ultimate goal is for you to be your own coach and both of them can help you achieve that goal.
