"You must be willing to see the things you dont want to see"
Something I want to share is that this episode is very vulnerable for me. I share after crying for a long period of time where some negative patterns of being nagging and slightly mean come out. I think it is important to be honest with yourself and with others around you. To become the person you want to be.
In this episode I talk about how seeing your own repeated beliefs, behaviors, and feelings is hard. That having it be brought to your attention can cause you to get emotional. But not being aware of it can be even more dangerous. So how important it is to be aware and recognize when you are repeating a pattern.
In this episode we touch on:
- Honesty
- Willingness
- Action
- Segment 1: Understanding Old Patterns
- Segment 2: The Psychology Behind Patterns
- Segment 3: Recognizing Your Patterns
- Repetition of Negative Outcomes:
- Emotional Triggers:
- Self-Sabotage:
- Stagnation:
- Segment 4: Strategies to Break Free
- Self-Awareness:
- Challenge Your Beliefs:
- Set Intentions:
- Create New Habits:
- Seek Support:
Takeaway + Action: You don't always know when your repeating something. If you don't see it if your attention isn't brought to it. Even if it is something you are aware of, you may disassociate it, like it's not you. Action that you can take is have people around you to point out what you can not see. Then listen to their honesty.
