  • 10 - DID THEY JUST SIGN THEIR OWN DEATH SENTENCE?? | The Founding Fathers | Revolutionary War
    2025/01/29

“GEORGE WASHINGTON IS TO BE DRAWN AND QUARTERED!”

56 patriots—America’s Colonial leaders—signed our Declaration of Independence.

Think about it, often those with the most to lose courageously stepped forward knowing they would be targeted by the most powerful king on earth.

Courageously they put their name right where King George III could not miss it on the Declaration of Independence.

The Signers all knew the seriousness of signing a document of high treason against the crown.

They knew George the 3rd would condemn them as traitors, subject to not only arrest, but the confiscation of their property.

    Then, their summary execution.

But not just any execution. Drawing and quartering was required for traitors, one of the most painful, humiliating, horribly bloody ways to die fashioned by the creative hand of man.

And they weren’t just risking their own lives. The lives of their families also on the block.

This episode details what happened to these 56 Founders, the Signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Would we, today, be willing to risk it all—including the lives of our families—in the hope of somehow creating a new Republic, built upon the concept of Government of the people, by the people, and for the people?

I think it’s something worth pondering…particularly in our troubled world today.

I’m Rick Robison and this is the HEROES FOR FREEDOM Podcast.

  • 09 - DEFEATING THE BRITISH "SCALP-BUYING GENERAL" | Col. George R. Clark (American Rangers/Special Forces) | Revolutionary War
    2025/01/22

The Indians called him “The Scalp-Buying General." British Commander Henry Hamilton.

He was the terror of the American Frontier during the American Revolutionary War, hiring the native tribes to collect American scalps and drive out the American settlers in the Ohio River Valley and Kentucky of what was American wilderness in 1779.

One man stood against “The Scalp-Buyer,” the first of America’s Elite Operators, GEORGE ROGERS CLARK led his small company of American Rangers to attack the British holding Fort Vincennes (in what would become Indiana).

Though in the middle of winter in the most miserable of conditions, starving and outnumbered, Colonel Clark and his Rangers outmaneuvered and defeated the British at Fort Vincennes, effectively clearing the British out of what was the American frontier at the time and making these frontier regions safe for American families hoping to settle the West.

A true hero, yet a man few Americans know anything about, training his frontier soldiers to be the first American Rangers and Special Forces operators.

  • 08 - TWO KIDNAPPED GIRLS WHO CHANGED HISTORY | Sacajawea & Sally (Shoshoni Explorers/Trailblazers/Peacemakers) | American West
    2025/01/15

Wondering if there is a way to make a difference when you are "just one person"?

In today's episode we discuss two incredible Shoshoni teenage girls who, despite difficult circumstances, made a BIG impact on our developing country...

Sacajawea and Sally were trailblazers who helped save, and build, this great nation.

Sacajawea is well known for joining and protecting the Lewis and Clark Expedition (1803-1806) as they explored the vast and unknown American West.

Sally is lesser known, but every bit the hero, helping open the primitive West, protecting the downtrodden and struggling, trying to bring her people, the Shoshoni, and the newly arriving whites, together in peace.

Along with her husband, the mountain man Elijah Ward, she was successful, though she dedicated her life to serving others and trying to stop the seemingly inevitable wars that ended up taking many lives, both Indian and white, including—tragically—the life of her husband, Elijah.

In the end, Sacajawea and Sally provided an eternal example proving what must be done if Americans hope to live in peace, to prosper and cooperate, and to help set a worthy example for our troubled world.

We need these great women and their inspiring stories, now more than ever!
